Hook up to the one battery on the driver’s side – DO NOT hook up to the battery on the passenger’s side. Never “fast charge” a battery if you plan for it to live a normal life. By next morning it should be down to about 2 to 5 amps “trickle” charging rate. Then be certain to unplug the charger from shore power before you disconnect the negative charger cable from the truck.

It shows on the picture by the two AC outputs 7 and 8. I cannot find a download for the manual so I cannot confirm that both of these AC outputs are milliamps but this is what it looks like from the data on their website. Will this damage the unit? The reason that you typically run multiple batteries on an engine is that you need the cranking amperes to start the engine. You have twice the amperes with the batteries in parallel, but the voltage of the system operates at the battery nameplate voltage in this case, 6V. In series, you double the voltage, but the system can only produce the nameplate amperes of a single battery. I suspect that these batteries are installed in parallel. With that in mind, a single charger should be installed on the system at 6V, but the charger current shouldn’t exceed the wire rating of the system.
The best way to install it would be by tying your charger positive to battery A positive and your charger negative to battery B negative. Since your batteries are on opposite sides of the tractor, that may be tough and you probably are fine to just install your charger to one battery positive and negative or tractor ground and it will charge both batteries. Operating two chargers in parallel simultaneously as stated by the poster above is not my recommendation.
Number one, you may be spending twice as much money as is necessary and number two, if the chargers aren’t operating at the exact same voltage in parallel, that imbalance will manifest itself as a stray current in your wiring and batteries, potentially causing thermal stress on the system. Probably not a big deal, but most small-time chargers aren’t built to the tolerances of high dollar industrial chargers and the bigger the difference in voltage, the greater the stress on the system.

January 19, 3: I Have monster clarity one speakers powered. I want to add in a powered subwoofer. The clarity ones only have various inputs – no outputs. The sub has speaker level in, speaker level out, rca in. What is the best way to hook them up? The signal is not coming from a receiver but an ipod, my laptop, etc. Should I split the signal? If so, should I use the line level rca plugs or the speaker level speaker wire plugs? If not, should I run the complete signal to the sub rca?
Just get a 3. They are powered speakers so I am wondering if running the signal from the speaker level out of the sub to the speakers. Will it work properly? From everything that I’ve read it seems the best way to do it is to split the signal at the source and run a seperate signal to the speakers and the sub.

Jumper Cables. Any pair of jumper cables is better than not having any at all. But if you are buying new cables, look for ones that are 4 to 6 gauge in size and at least 20 feet in length.
Strip back the cable jacket approximately 1 inch. Use the cutter provided with the crimping tool or strip by hand. Be careful not to nick the individual wires.
